The Rocky Mountain District Export Council
The Rocky Mountain District Export Council (RMDEC) is a non-profit, private-sector advisory board whose mission is to grow Colorado and Wyoming economies by boosting U.S. exports. Appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, RMDEC members are some of the regions most experienced export executives.
RMDEC convenes international trade-related programming around the state and virtually to help position companies for success in the global market. RMDEC also educates stakeholders about the importance of trade and communicates crucial trade-related information to the business community.
Closely affiliated with the U.S. Commerce Department, RMDEC is one of 60 District Export Councils around the country that support and amplify the U.S. government’s export promotion efforts. RMDEC works in partnership with the International Trade Administration’s office in Colorado, and the U.S. Commercial Service Denver.
U.S. Commercial Service Denver is part of the global network of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration. The international trade specialists at U.S. Commercial Service Denver help Colorado and Wyoming companies learn how to sell internationally, connect with foreign buyers, handle trade challenges, and expand operations in new markets.
In partnership with RMDEC and other federal, state, industry, and local organizations, the agency creates new international opportunities for businesses in Colorado and Wyoming. Visit the Export Solutions toolkit to learn more.
