Please join the U.S. Commercial Service and North Carolina District Export Council at the Charlotte Export Compliance Workshop on December 4-5, 2024.  This unique two-day event will feature U.S. government experts on the rules and regulations that govern the landscape of export compliance, as well as private sector practitioners who will highlight their experiences and best practices.

Topics on the agenda include:

• Overview of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
• Introduction to the ITAR/Defense Product Controls
• OFAC Introduction and Country Sanctions Program
• ACE, AES Filing Systems and Requirements
• Managing Your Company’s Export Compliance and Recordkeeping
• Classification of Items on the Commerce Control List
• How to Submit a License Application
• Export Control Reform

Speakers are from the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC), OFAC, Department of Homeland Security, private practitioners, and local exporting companies.
