One third of America’s $3 trillion in exports is from the service industries, including software, education, travel, movies, architecture, as well as financial, insurance and other business services. The service sector is the fastest growing worldwide and one in which the US enjoys a large and growing trade SURPLUS of nearly 25% with the rest of the planet according to latest figures. Join the Indiana District Export Council and the US Department of Commerce on Thursday, March 21, Noon to 1pm for our next Export Lunch & Learn as we hear from three Indiana companies that export their services, how they do it, how they navigate payment and find their foreign buyers.

On the panel will be leaders from WSI Technologies – a software development company selling its recording software worldwide, Meticulous – an architectural and design firm with projects across the US and many foreign markets, and Amatrol Inc. – creators of vocational training systems for higher education exporting to over 60 countries. We’ll also hear from EXIM Bank on how to guarantee foreign payment on service exports, which is markedly different from insuring payment on manufactured goods exports.
