Senior Manager, Trade Compliance for Elbit Systems of America (ESA)
KarenWyman is the Senior Manager, Trade Compliance for Elbit Systems of America (ESA). Karen has Empowered Official responsibility across ESA and oversees the Trade Authorizations Team (agreements, licenses, permits, etc.), structuring authorization packages to align with program strategies and timelines. She also manages all Technology Control aspects at her 500+ employee site, overseeing adherence to ITAR, EAR, ATF, OFAC, NISPOM, FCPA, FDA, FCC and Customs regulations.
Her passion within ESA is to find the best path forward to make business happen.
Karen sits on the Dept. of Commerce’s Sensors and Instrumentation Technology Advisory Committee (SITAC), having worked to revise Category XII of the ITAR and Chapters 6 & 7 of the EAR as part of Export Control Reform. She is the past Chair of the Granite State District Export Council (GDEC) and a Member of the Board of Directors of the New Hampshire Aerospace and Defense Export Consortium (NHADEC). Karen has worked in Trade Compliance for the past 13 years and in international trade for nearly 30 years, assisting hundreds of companies with their international expansions.
Karen has her Bachelors’ degree in Accounting from Clemson University and a Masters’ degree in International Business from Thunderbird. She currently resides in New Hampshire.
