The U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Penny Pritzker, recently commended the District Export Councils for their partnership with the U.S. Commercial Service and for the role they are playing in increasing U.S. exports. As the Secretary notes, “DEC members embody the spirit of civic engagement”, and that the Department of Commerce, in its efforts to increase U.S. exports, “can rely on the support of a trusted and valued group of private sector leaders such as the DEC members.” Â To read the letter, click letter.
